West European Politics (WEP) is a journal of comparative politics founded in 1978 by Vincent Wright and Gordon Smith. Its current editors are Peter Mair, Klaus Goetz, and Gordon Smith. All articles are subject to editorial screening and peer-review. Its Impact Factor in 2006 was 0.456

Vincent Wright Memorial Prize

The Vincent Wright Memorial Prize was established in 1999 to honour the memory of Vincent Wright, co-founding editor of West European Politics. Two prizes are awarded annually on the recommendation of members of the Editorial Advisory Board for the best articles published in WEP during the preceding year.
