An cutneous sense organs is a simpler type of sensory receptors seen in skin.

Functional Classifcation of Neurons

sensory or afferent neurons- carry impulses from sensory to the CNS. specialized senses receptors such as cutaneous receptors ( meisners and pacinan corpascles), propriocepotrs and pain receptors (afferent neuron).
