"Rabbit Hole" is a play by David Lindsay-Abaire commissioned by South Coast Repertory and first presented at its Pacific Playwrights Festival reading series in 2005. [ [http://www.scr.org/aboutSCR/history/ppfhistory.asp South Coast Repertory listing] ] The play focuses on a couple, Becca and Howie, trying to cope with a terrible loss while Becca’s well-meaning mom and off-kilter sister attempt to lift their spirits, each in her own inimitable way. Abaire received the 2007 Pulitzer Prize for Drama for the work. [Simonson, Robert. Before the Broadway closing, both the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and Cleveland Play House announced plans to mount productions of the play.
