Psychedelic Plants Research Laboratory

Psychedelic Plants Research Laboratory is a Trance / Electronic music Unit formed in 1987 by a Japanese composer AQi Fzono in Japan.

PPRL is actually AQi Fzono's solo Electronic music unit specialized mainly for Goa, Psychedelic Trance and Psybient. Fzono composed and arragend all the tunes, however some various international members joined in by projects.

They started as an underground Psychedelic trance / Rave performance unit. They held audio-visual outdoor live performance series called "Multimedia Visionquest" that featured electronic and ethnic music, video and dancers in the late 1980s - 1990s in some parts of Asia, Europe and USA.

They released a couple of studio albums such as "Mars Botanical Garden" (1989) and "Unexplored Region" (1994).

Aliases

After the formation of this unit in 1987, Fzono has used several other names for the band on occasions such as "Hobo Summit", "Acid Head Organization" and "Aurora Heads" (In the US, this unit has been known as "Aurora Heads".). In 2008, Fzono unified the unit name to the original name "Psychedelic Plants Research Laboratory".Currently "Psychedelic Plants Research Laboratory" is the only name he uses.
