12447 Yatescup (1996 XA12) is a Main-belt Asteroid discovered on December 4, 1996 by Spacewatch at Kitt Peak. It is named after the Yates Cup, a Canadian football trophy awarded to the Ontario University Athletics football champion. It was first presented in 1898 and is the oldest active football trophy in North America.
