The Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity is the Roman Catholic cathedral of Waterford, Ireland. It is situated on Barronstrand Street in the city centre.
Cathedral History
The Cathedral was designed by Waterford architect, John Roberts, in 1793 and has the distinction of being the oldest Catholic cathedral in either Britain or Ireland. It was built on the site of an older Catholic chapel which had been built on the request of Waterford's Roman Catholic community at the height of the Penal Laws.
