Jonathan Tickle (born 8 May 1974 in Norwich) is a television presenter in the UK, who initially rose to fame as a contestant on the fourth series of the British "Big Brother". He appeared before this, however, as a contestant on the gameshow Blockbusters in 1991. A clip of his appearance was featured on ITV's Gameshow Marathon. He is also the secondary presenter on the television series and recently stated that he is pitching the script of a comedy-drama he has co-created, called "Out for Justice" which revolves around the adventures of a gay policeman and his ex-con boyfriend. Tickle describes the show as 'Will & Grace meets The Bill'. Jon Tickle is a twin.

Big Brother

Tickle is the first of seven housemates to have been allowed to return to the house after having been evicted into the outside world (although during his second time in the house he was not eligible to win). He returned after the public voted on which evicted housemate should be put back into the house. He also worked in Norwich, before Big Brother.

Voted 13th most popular housemate of all time, Tickle has more fan websites than any other housemate, most notably "Jon Tickle - The Legend" [http://www.rabid.oneuk.com/jontickle.html] . He is also, famously, the object of devotion of the Brethren of the Church of Jon - a still thriving organisation set up in his honour on the Channel 4 "Big Brother" forums during "Big Brother 4". He was also a contestant on a celebrity edition of Distraction winning roughly £4,500 for cancer research.

Brainiac

Tickle, a physics graduate of the University of Leicester, has gone on to co-present "", a series of science-based shows on the UK television station Sky One, in which he is the 'sciencey one' and the most daring of all Brainiacs, in contrast to former presenter Richard Hammond who was a more entertainment focused presenter. The most famous experiment on the show, having been shown on other shows such as QI and Mythbusters was of Jon walking on a pool full of custard powder and water.

Tickle has had many ideas and one of his most famous is the "time-delay toaster."Big Brother 4|date=2003 "What's the problem with toast? slices pop up, you whip one out, and spread some margarine on it. But by the time you get the second, the consistency has changed. Why not have a time delay?"
