Ioannis Diamantopoulos (Greek: Ιωάννης Παπαδιαμαντόπουλος, 1766 in Corinth - 1826 in Messolongi) was a Greek revolutionary leader during the Greek War of Independence.

He was born in Corinth in 1766, his father was born in Epirus. He was orphaned at a little age from his mother and his father and was moved to Patras. He was skilled in wine marked and he married Eleni Kalamogdarti in 1800. He done many great and had the richest of Patras, years before the revolution broke out. He had an estate in the area of Agios Dimitrios where he had his house. His estate was later after the revolution in the city in which it built a square where he is honoured.

From his house which moved on March 21, 1821 and in Patras, the first battle when the Turks attacked which knew unsuccessful. He sold his entire estate in the revolution incited from the Greeks and carried weapon trade from Italy and paid entirely the same. Later in June, he headed to Italy with a ship filled with weaponry and all the hunting of English ships over the Gulf of Patras and brought with a small ship from Mesollongi which later traded to Patras. He took place in many battles and in March 1822, he was a fortress chief of the Patras' battlefield and participated in the receipt of the Castle of Nafplio. He managed the naval battles of Hydra and Spetses and also with the of Ilia in the struggle. He was made president of the tri-member with commission power fallow Greece.

He councilled polemically in the second Battle of Messolongi from March 1825. Otherwise he made it to 62 and headed to Zakynthos and bought and carried weaponry and for the soldiers. That time, the family moved to Zakynthos. His friends councilled in order not to return to Messolongi but Papadiamanatopoulos didn't listen. He battled there and was later killed. After the revolution, his family returned to Patras.

He was married with Eleni Kalamogdartis, daughter of the famous Kalamogdartis family from Patras, he had six children, Anastasios, Panagiotis, Spyridonas, Dimitrios, Konstantinos and Adamantios. The city is named after a street and a square which is located next to his house.
