The Bank of America Plaza is a Convert|503|ft|m|0, 40-story skyscraper in Charlotte, North Carolina. It is the 4th tallest in the city. It contains Convert|887079|sqft|m2|0 of rentable area of which Convert|75000|sqft|m2|-3|abbr=on of retail space, and the rest office space. The tower also has below-grade parking garage has space for 456 vehicles and leases a nearby five-level garage, providing 730 additional parking spaces. It was the tallest building in North Carolina from its completion in 1974 until it was surpassed by One Wachovia Center in 1988. The tower is at located at the intersection of South College Street and South Tryon Street. A bronze sculpture entitled "Il Grande Disco" is located in the plaza adjacent to the building. The tower was bought by Behringer Harvard REIT I Inc in 2006.
