The TERA Rifles (挺身落下傘小銃""Teishin Rakkasan syoujyu") were
Japan ese special rifles developed forparatrooper s. They could be broken down into two parts and easily assembled/disassembled. There were three types:* Type 100 based on the
Type 99 Rifle .
* Type 2 based on theType 99 Rifle .
* Type 1 was based onType 44 Cavalry Rifle . It was not separated but folded. The Type 1 was not introduced, because its folding mechanism was not reliable enough.Japanese paratroopers also used Bergmann sub-machine guns and Type 100 sub-machine guns.
