Hopsewee, also known as Thomas Lynch, Jr., Birthplace or Hopsewee-on-the-Santee, is a house built in 1749 near Georgetown, South Carolina. It was the birthplace of Thomas Lynch, Jr., a signer of the Declaration of Independence.

According to the National Park Service, "the frame building, a fine example of a Carolina "low country" plantation house, shows West Indian influence, with its double-tiered piazza and dormered hip roof."

It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1971.citation|title=PDFlink| [http://pdfhost.focus.nps.gov/docs/NHLS/Text/71000782.pdf National Register of Historic Places Inventory-Nomination: Hopsewee (Thomas Lynch, Jr., Birthplace) / Hopsewee-on-the-Santee] |32 KB|date=June 4, 1971 |author=Charles W.
