Antigoneia (Greek language: "Αντιγόνεια") was the name of many ancient Greek cities, such as Antigoneia in Seleucia, Antigoneia in Syria, another name of Mantineia, Antigoneia in Paeonia and an Antigoneia in Chalkidiki [Dictionary of Greek and Roman Geography by William Smith,1856,page 140."Antigoneia"] .A town of Epirus in the district of Chaonia on the border with the Illyrians.
