Lenca people are an
indigenous peoples ofCentral America , situated in the western highland regions ofHonduras and easternEl Salvador . Contemporary populations are estimated at approximately 100,000 and 37,000 for Honduras and El Salvador, respectively. [See Ethnologue (2005).
