"See You on the Other Side" is the seventh studio album by Korn. It was released on December 6, 2005, by Virgin Records. It is their first album without long-time guitarist Brian "Head" Welch and the last album with long time drummer David Silveria. The working title was "Souvenir of Sadness". The album was first certified gold on January 12, 2006 and subsequent platinum record certification was awarded on March 16, 2006.

With regards to the album's musical direction, Jonathan Davis quoted,

The album was recorded in Jonathan Davis' home studio which was used for the "Take a Look in the Mirror" album and "Queen of the Damned" soundtrack and score.

The first single, "Twisted Transistor", was premiered on 102.1 The Edge, and was released on November 212005. Brent Decker e-mailed the disc jockey of the night, Ayo, with a request to play the rumored single.

The album was ranked 2nd in Ultimate Guitar Archive Top 10 albums of 2005 poll (user-based). It is very notable achievement considering the date of its release.cite web| url= http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/columns/features/the_best_albums_of_2005.html

The album was "officially" leaked onto the Internet one week before it was officially released by MTV.com (for streaming only).

The cover of the album, and entire album art is made by Jonathan Davis' friend , New York surrealist, David Stoupakis, and based on the lyrics from the song "Seen It All".

Critical reception

On average, "See You on the Other Side" generally received much warmer critical reception than the previous studio album, "Take a Look in the Mirror", scoring a Metacritic average of 64 [ [http://www.metacritic.com/music/artists/korn/seeyouontheotherside?q=Korn Metacritic Review: See You on the Other Side] ] . Reviewers appreciated the band's desire to experiment and noted that the album combined well their signature sound with the freshness that producers The Matrix and Atticus Ross added to the band's sound.
