David Wallace (catcher)

David Huggins Wallace (born October 17, 1979 in Brentwood, Tennessee), is a former American professional baseball catcher. He is currently the manager of the New York-Penn League's Mahoning Valley Scrappers, the short-season "A" level minor-league affiliate of the Cleveland Indians. He is also serving as the catching coordinator within the Indians system.[1]

From 2002 to 2008, Wallace played in Minor League Baseball with the Scrappers, Lake County Captains, Kinston Indians, Akron Aeros, Buffalo Bisons, and Columbus Clippers.

2011 is Wallace's first season at the helm of the Scrappers, replacing former Indian Travis Fryman.
