History

The station went on the air as WLKA on 1989-05-15. on 1996-02-19, the station changed its call sign to WMHX, on 1998-03-01 to WISY, on 1999-07-30 to WMAX-FM, on 1999-08-02 to WISY, on 2006-06-27 to the current WVOR, [ cite web|url=http://fjallfoss.fcc.gov/cgi-bin/ws.exe/prod/cdbs/pubacc/prod/call_hist.pl?Facility_id=8505&Callsign=WVOR |title=WVOR Call Sign History |work=United States Federal Communications Commission, audio division ]

The WVOR call sign was "parked" on 102.3 after the station that held that call sign, a heritage FM station now known as WDVI, changed its call sign and format in 2006.
