GCAQE

The Global Cabin Air Quality Executive (GCAQE) established in 2006 is the leading organization globally representing air crew with regard to cabin air quality, specifically contaminated air issues and representing over 500,000 aviation workers globally in 3 continents.

GCAQE members have been actively involved in working with crews, global experts, scientists, doctors and the aviation industry for many years on this subject, including being members of several international committees such as the [FAA] OHCRA project, ITF, SAE and ASHRAE committees.

The GCAQE is the largest organisation ever created, by crew representative groups, to tackle one specific problem:

"A global coalition of health and safety advocates committed to raising awareness and finding solutions to poor air quality in aircraft."

The GCAQE is currently co-chaired by former airline Captain Tristan Loraine and Judith Murawski, an industrial hygienist. Their hHead of research is [http://www.susanmichaelis.com Susan Michaelis]

On 27 March 2008, the GCAQE issued a Press Release in the UK calling for a ‘Public Inquiry’ into the ongoing exposure of passengers and crews to contaminated air on UK transport aircraft backed by the three major opposition parties.
