Order of Isabel the Catholic

The Order of Isabel the Catholic (Sp: "Orden de Isabel la Católica") is a Spanish civil order granted in recognition of services that benefit the country, including to foreign diplomats. It was instituted on 24 March 1815 by Ferdinand VII.

The Spanish King is Grand Master and there are five grades, Grand Cross with Collar, Grand Cross, Grand Officer, Commander by Number, Commander and Knight. There is also the Silver Cross and the Medal of Isabel the Catholic. The ribbon is yellow with a white central stripe.
