Vicnet

Vicnet is the first government-run ISP in Australia. It is a department of the State Library of Victoria.

History

Vicnet was created as an initiative of then Premier of Victoria Jeff Kennett.

ervices

Vicnet offers a number of services including DSL and dial-up accounts and webhosting. It also collaberates with other organisations on such projects as [http://mc2.vicnet.net.au/ My Connected Community] and the Victorian [http://www.internet-access.vic.gov.au/ Public Internet Access Program] .
