Pantages Theatre

There were many theatres named the Pantages Theatre, after Alexander Pantages (1867-1936), an American vaudeville and early motion picture producer. These remain:

United States

*Pantages Theatre (Hollywood) is an art deco theatre on Hollywood Boulevard that features touring Broadway shows.
*Pantages Theatre (Minneapolis), part of the Hennepin Theatre District in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
*Pantages Theatre (Tacoma), in Tacoma, Washington.

Canada

*Pantages Theatre in Toronto, Ontario, renamed the Canon Theatre.
*Pantages Playhouse Theatre in the historic Exchange District of Winnipeg, Manitoba. The theatre first opened as a vaudeville house in 1913, and continues to operate as a leading venue for performing arts in Manitoba.
*The Pantages Theatre in Vancouver, British Columbia, had some name changes. Now owned by a society, it is to be refurbished and re-opened. It is in the 100 block of East Hastings Street. http://www.pantagesplayhouse.com/history.htm#top and www.vancouverpantages.com
