Brief History

The origin of Brgy. Bilogo is certainly unknown, but there's also a large possibility that its existence begun before or after the Japanese Occupation of the Philippines. Brgy. Bilogo was just then a part of the Coumintang Kingdom ruled by the datus which the seat of the government was located mainly in Batangas City. The official day of the Patron Saint Mary Feast is celebrated every the thirtieth of May a year. The public school is probably built during the reigh of Pres. Ferdinand E. Marcos. The first Barangay Captain to be recorded in the modern history was "Angel Umali" that served from the late 20th century until the year 2002. During his leadership, Brgy. Bilogo achieved the title for being the cleanliest and healthiest barangay in the former Region 4 of the Philippines. By then, Brgy. Bilogo begun receiving major awards for every contest that it joined.

Angel Umali was succeeded by "Alfredo Villanueva" whose term saw great improvements to Brgy. Bilogo. Roads were repaired coupled with the constructions of new canals and improvements of waterworks through the helped of the late Gov. Arman Sanchez and Mayor Eduardo Dimacuha which both gave three up to five-horse power submersible pumps and cables and 20 GI pipes during June 2006. Also the Materials Recovery Facility or MRF was constructed in Purok 4 in order to maintain proper segregation for solid waste materials. On the other hand, the agricultural progress of Brgy. Bilogo was temporary hampered when two super-typhoons, Caloy and Reming greatly devastated crops and uproot much of the fruit-bearing trees, resulting into some harvest failures the same that year.

Alfredo Villanueva was succeeded by "Ramil Manalo" after winning the Philippine National Barangay Election of November 2007. Earlier on April, former Gov. Arman Sanchez visited Brgy. Bilogo during his campaign for the Philippine Senatorial Election of May 2007. Ramil Manalo was able to reorganize, continue and launched the Volleyball Summer League on April 2008 which begun under the term of the former Barangay Captain on May 2007.
