William Mitchell (physicist)

William Mitchell (physicist)

Sir Edgar William John Mitchell, FRS (September 25, 1925October 30, 2002) was a professor of physics at Oxford, and helped pioneer the field of neutron scattering.

Born in Kingsbridge, England, Mitchell was also a member of the SEPP Board of Science Advisors.
