Sukhdev Ahluwalia

Sukhdev Ahluwalia was born in 1932. He joined the film industry in 1955 as an assistant cameraman. He began his career with Modern Studios and Raman Productions before beginning writing and directing. He worked as the operative cameraman on three Hindi films: "Patang", "Phool Bane Angaare" and "Juaari". Working independently, Ahluwalia wrote and directed more than dozen popular Punjwood flicks. He is best remembered for his Til Til Da Lekha (1979), which won Punjab State Govt. Award for second best film.
