The Beijing Great Wheel is a proposed Observation wheel for Beijing, China. [ [http://afp.google.com/article/ALeqM5g3Nb2cmuC0TcyevBNd13w9GEYY_w Beijing begins construction of world's biggest wheel] AFP] At the time of its completion in late 2009, it will be the highest and largest in the world. It is planned to stand at convert|208|m|ft|lk=on|abbr=on and will carry up to 1,920 passengers. This will make it the tallest Ferris wheel in the world, significantly higher than both the current record holder, the convert|165|m|ft|abbr=on Singapore Flyer, and the proposed convert|185|m|ft|abbr=on Great Berlin Wheel.

The wheel will be located in eastern Beijing's Chaoyang Park, where Olympic events, such as volleyball, took place at the 2008 Olympics. The wheel will have 48 air conditioned observation capsules that can carry up to 40 passengers. On a clear sunny day, it is expected that people will be able to see the Great Wall of China in the mountains to Beijing's north.

The cost of production for this wheel is to be around 200 million euros (around 139 million pounds) and tickets are expected to go for about 100 yuan (around 7.5 pounds) per person, however, the prices have still not been decided.

It is being built by the Great Wheel Corporation which also built the Singapore Flyer and the proposed Great Berlin Wheel which will stand at 185 m.
