The Phoenix Metropolitan Men's Chorus (PMMC) began in 1991 as the Grand Canyon Men's Chorale. Founded in Maricopa County, its original intent was to be a recital choir but later became the Phoenix Valley's first and largest "show" choir. Mission

The PMMC's self proclaimed mission is to strive to be a premiere performing arts organization that unites, inspires, and entertains its members, diverse audiences, and supporting partners. It is also a voice of the LGBT community in Phoenix with all or most of its members being gay themselves.

Membership

The PMMC accepts most levels of musicianship, while also trying to maintain the level of quality it has come to be known by. It is over 100 voices strong which contributes greatly to the strength of its sound.

Select members of the choir are invited to join a smaller ensemble entitled Harmonic Vibrations/Canyon Echoes to perform more challenging music and to perform independently from the larger group in venues that would not otherwise be able to hold the larger group.

Repertoire

The choir has a broad repertoire consisting of everything from religious holiday pieces, to modern contemporary pieces.
