The James Burton Telecaster is an electric guitar made by
Fender Musical Instruments Corporation for country-rock guitar legendJames Burton . This American-made signature model features a solidBasswood body, three special-design blade single-coil pickups, 5-way "Strat-o-Tele" pickup selector with S-1 switching system (allowing a wide variety of series/parallel tones), hard-tail Strat bridge, Schaller die-cast machine heads with white pearl or black buttons, late '60s U-shaped maple neck/fretboard with 21 medium-jumbo frets, available with gold hardware, solid and paisley graphic finishes. Earlier versions used apoplar body and aLace Sensor Blue, Silver and Red pickup configuration with TBX tone circuit. Introduced in1991 , it was upgraded in2006 .James Burton Standard Telecaster
The Mexican-made Standard version of the James Burton signature model features a custom-shaped 1-piece '60s U-shaped maple neck with satin finish, vintage tint, 21 vintage frets and early '50s-style spaghetti decal, a solid
alder body, 1-ply white pickguard, vintage 6-saddle Tele bridge and a pair of Fender Texas Special Tele pickups. Available in Candy Apple Red finish, it was introduced in1996 .
