Big Brother 4 is the fourth season of the reality show Big Brother in Bulgaria. It is aired on Nova Television. The show launched on 22 September 2008, 20:00 h. It will continue for 3 months (about 12 weeks). Milen Tsvetkov is the host of Big Brother 4.

The money prize is 300 000 leva, which is the highest in the history of Big Brother Bulgaria (winners from the previous three seasons won 200 000 leva each).

Veneta Raykova (a former Housemate from VIP Brother 2) is the host of a new late talk-show called Little sister. It was recently announced she is pregnant. Rumen Lukanov is the host of the interactive part of the show (voting).

The show is aired on 20:30 h from Monday to Friday (live shows are on Monday and Thursday), on Saturday at 20:00, and after 22:30 on Sunday. Nova+ airs live footages at 10:00, 13:00, 16:00, 19:00 and 22:30. Repetitions of the episodes aired on Nova Television are repeated at 18:00 the next day. The talk show Little sister is aired on Monday and Thursday at 23:45.

Housemates

From 22 June until 22 July auditions were held in the ten biggest cities in Bulgaria - Pleven, Veliko Tarnovo, Rousse, Shumen, Varna, Bourgas, Stara Zagora, Plovdiv, Blagoevgrad and Sofia. 13 955 candidates in total showed, 2700 of which were in Sofia. The third and final round of the auditions was held in Sofia from 20 July to 10 August, with 415 candidates.

On 15 September, 10 of the Housemates were isolated in separate secret places. It was announced that the Housemates' passports have been colected, which means there will be a possible Housemate swap between Big Brother Bulgaria and another contry's Big Brother.

10 women entered the House on 22 September. Originally, an eleventh Housemate - Nelly was expected to enter the House. However, she lost consciousness before entering the show and was decided not to take part in Big Brother 4. Instead, Violeta entered the show the next day.

11 men entered the House on Day 4. On Day 10, one of them - Tsvetan, was sent into the women's part of the House, and one of the women - Irena, into the men's.

Angelina

Angelina Antonova Angelova is from Plovdiv. She entered the House on Day 1, and left voluntarily on Day 15, just a few minutes after moving into the House.

Danail

Danail Kirilov Panchev is from Sofia. He entered the House on Day 4, and was ejected on Day 8, after a fight with Daniel.

Daniel

Daniel Ankov Delchev is from Sliven. He entered the House on Day 4, and was ejected on Day 8, after a fight with Danail.

Daniela

Daniela Georgieva Kostova is from Sofia. She entered the House on Day 1.

Emilia

Emilia Alexieva Arabadjieva is from Veliko Turnovo. She entered the House on Day 1.

Filip (Toshko)

Filip Shterev Ralev from Sozopol entered the show on Day 4, posing as the mentally disabled man Toshko from Grudovo. When he entered the studio, the viewers and audience were not told about this, and they only learned the truth about Toshko when Big Brother called him in the Diary Room to confirm his secret mission: to fool all housemates into thinking he really has mental disabilities.

Georgi

Georgi Georgiev Alourkov is from Sofia. He entered the House on Day 4.

Irena

Irena Vasileva Ivanova is from Bourgas. She entered the House on Day 1.

Ivan

Ivan Iliev Giumijev is from Lom. He entered the House on Day 4.

Ivanina

Ivanina Plamenova Koleva is from Haskovo. She entered the House on Day 1.

Jenny

Jenny Kraycheva Chervenkova is from Shumen. She entered the House on Day 1.

Kamen

Kamen Nikolaev Tonov is from Pleven. He entered the House on Day 4.

Konstantin

Konstantin Antonov Mihailov is from Varna. He entered the show on Day 12, and is the first Housemate to live in the new House.

Martin

Martin Roussev Ivanov is from Harmanli. He entered the House on Day 4.

Mila

Mila Zdravkova Petrova is from Shumen. She entered the House on Day 1. She is the first blind Housemate in the history of Big Brother Bulgaria.

Natalya

Natalya Atanasova Mihailova is from Shumen. She entered the House on Day 1.

Peter Ivanov Georgiev is from Plovdiv. He entered the House on Day 4.

Weekly summary and highlights

The House

Originally, it was planned either "Big Brother 4" or "VIP Brother 3" to air in the beginning of 2008. However, the start of a new season has been delayed due to the competition for the building company. "Big Brother 4" is being recorded in a new house near Sofia in the village of "Novi khan", as the old one has been destroyed.

There is a secret room, two bathrooms and a shop. The total area of the House is 3000 sq. km. There is a fireplace at the middle of the garden. There is the airplane wrackage, where the Housemates currently live.

A total of 70 cameras will be following the new Housemates' every move.
