"Backbreaker" is an upcoming American football video game developed by NaturalMotion for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The game is noted for its realistic tackles that are produced in real time by the euphoria engine (The same engine used by Grand Theft Auto IV, as well as ) [ [http://www.naturalmotion.com/euphoria.htm NaturalMotion euphoria ] ] , as opposed to relying on canned animations like most other football games. The game also employs a third person camera angle which is different from the traditional overhead view used by most sports video games. NaturalMotion has released several short videos that focus on a single aspect of the video game's revolutionary engine. Such videos have featured the audio and audience rendering. While none of these have ever been actual gameplay, on April 21 2008 NaturalMotion released a short video of a mini-game called Tackle Alley that they claimed was actual gameplay footage.
