Danforth Village

Danforth Village

Danforth Village is a neighbourhood in Toronto, Ontario, Canada focused around Danforth Avenue. The neighbourhood boundaries as recognized by the City of Toronto are Milverton Boulevard to the north, Woodbine Avenue to the east, Danforth Avenue to the south and Pape Avenue to the west. Prior to municipal amalgamation in 1998, Danforth Village was partially within the Borough of East York. TTC bus routes and the Bloor-Danforth subway provide transit access to the neighbourhood.

Since 2006, the Danforth Village name has also been applied to a Business Improvement Area east of the neighbourhood, centered along the Danforth from Westlake Avenue in the west to Victoria Park Avenue in the east. The city's official name for this area is East End Danforth, though that is rarely used.

This vibrant district is within walking distance of Victoria Park and Main Street stations, bus routes along the Danforth and the Danforth GO Station. This area is very multicultural as is seen with the different varieties of specialty shops, restaurants and bakeries.
