"Scream Aim Fire" is the second studio album by Welsh metalcore band Bullet for My Valentine. It was released on January 28, 2008, as stated in "Kerrang!". [ [http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?mode=Article&newsitemID=82814 blabbermouth.net] News Archive] The band stated that this album would be considerably heavier than their previous album. "Scream Aim Fire" has fewer screaming vocals than it's predecessor, partly because of the problem lead singer Matthew Tuck had with his tonsils. Most songs are in D Standard Tuning, as opposed to The Poison, which was recorded in Dropped C Tuning.

"Scream Aim Fire" went straight to number 5 in the UK album Charts and number 4 in the Australian album charts. Additionally, the album hit number 4 on the Billboard 200, with first week sales of about 53,000. Their album has sold over 225,000 copies in the United States since its late January release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. To date Scream Aim Fire has sold about 470,000 copies worldwide since its January release.

Scream Aim Fire will be featured in the upcoming videogame Guitar Hero World Tour.

Recording

Recording of the album was complete in November 2007 with vocalist/guitarist Matthew Tuck telling Kerrang! magazine he was 'glad' the album was complete and was looking forward to be working with guest producer Alec Cartio again.

Bullet For My Valentine have also released the album on a metal bullet-shaped Flash Drive with the band's symbol engraved into it [ [http://www.play.com/Music/CD/4-/3975962/Scream-Aim-Fire/Product.html] Memory Stick (BFMV SAF)] . The bullet-shaped Flash Drive has the same properties as the Special Edition CD, with the inclusion of a 15 minute track-by-track video commentary, 4 wallpapers, and the booklet/insert that the physical album contains in PDF format.

Promotion

At midnight on the January 28, Bullet for My Valentine were present in Cardiff to do an album signing to go with the release of the album. At 18:00 the same day, they did a 20 minute performance at HMV in Oxford Circus with 300 present to get their album signed.

ingles and releases

A 15-minute album commentary was released on the US digital single for "Scream Aim Fire", released on December 18, 2007, with the additional track "Eye of the Storm", [BFMV website news about digital singles [http://www.bulletformyvalentine1.com/website/html/news.php] ] which was also released on a free Kerrang! CD and as a free download for signing up to the Sony BMG mailing list [http://ftp.sonybmgmusic.co.uk/Eye_of_the_storm.zip] . All standard tracks were released for streaming on the band's MySpace profile on January 21, 2008. The day after, the Japanese edition was found circulating on various P2P networks.

The second single from the album, "Hearts Burst Into Fire", was announced by the band during their UK tour. Matt Tuck said that the band recorded the song live for the music video.

"Waking The Demon" is the third single of the album.
