Next = The End"Folie a Deux" is the nineteenth episode of season 5 of the television series "The X-Files". Mulder and Scully encounter an apparently delusional man who believes his boss to be a monster — and is willing to pay any price to prove it.

Scully and Skinner both get concerned when Mulder starts to exhibit the same kind of delusions. However, Scully becomes convinced when it tries to attack Mulder in the hospital.

Trivia

*Folie à deux literally means “a madness shared by two”.
*This episode's monster of the week, a brain-eating, insectoid creature with the ability to cloud the minds of people observing it, is similar to the title creatures from the Red Dwarf episode Psirens.
*At one point Mulder mentions Helsinki syndrome which is, in fact, an incorrect name for Stockholm syndrome.
