FFRR Records

FFRR Records

FFRR Records was a subsidiary of London Records. It was founded and run by English DJ Pete Tong. FFRR had also two subsidiaries: Double F Double R records and Ffrreedom Records. The name FFRR stood for Full Frequency Range Recording" [Lipman, Samuel,"The House of Music: Art in an Era of Institutions", 1984. See the chapter on "Getting on Record", pp.62-75, about the early record industry and Fred Gaisberg and Walter Legge and FFRR (Full Frequency Range Recording).] , which was originally an improved recording technique and slogan used by Decca Records on their pop singles and albums as well as classical albums in the 1950s and 1960s. The label's "ear" logo comes from the same source. An incomplete list of artists is provided below.
