Esophageal electrophysiologic procedure

The Esophageal electrophysiologic procedure is a procedure used to detect cardiac arrhythmias.

An nasal tube is placed into the nostril and fed into the esophagus. EKG readings from this area are much more accurate due to the close proximity to the heart.
