Friedrich, Prince of Hohenzollern

HH Friedrich, Prince of Hohenzollern ("Friedrich Viktor Pius Alexander Leopold Karl Theodor Ferdinand von Hohenzollern") was born on 30 August 1891 in Heilgendamm, Mecklenburg, Germany and died on 6 February 1965 in Krauchenwies, Germany. He was the eldest son of Wilhelm, Prince of Hohenzollern and Princess Maria Teresa of Bourbon-Two Sicilies.

Marriage and children

He married Princess Margarete Carola Wilhelmine of Saxony, daughter of Frederick Augustus III of Saxony and Archduchess Luise, Princess of Tuscany, on 2 June 1920 in Schloss Sibyllenort, Silesia, Germany. They had seven children:

* Princess Maria Antonia of Hohenzollern (b. 19 February 1921)
* Princess Maria Adelgunde of Hohenzollern (19 February 1921 - 23 May 2006) who married Prince Konstantin of Bavaria. They were later divorced.
* Princess Maria Theresa of Hohenzollern (11 October 1922 - 13 December 2004)
* Friedrich Wilhelm, Prince of Hohenzollern (b. 3 February 1924), who married Princess Margarita of Leiningen (1932-1996) on the 3 February 1951 and they had three children
* Prince Franz Joseph of Hohenzollern (15 March 1926 - 13 March 1996)
* Prince Johann-Georg of Hohenzollern (b. 31 July 1932)
* Prince Ferfried Maximilian of Hohenzollern (b. 14 April 1943)
