The Wyckoff House, or Pieter Claeson Wyckoff House is located at 5816 Clarendon Road in the Flatbush area of Brooklyn. Estimated to have been built in 1652, it is the oldest surviving example of a Dutch saltbox frame house in America, and was probably the first structure built by Europeans on Long Island.

It is on land that Wouter van Twiller purchased from the local Lenape people in approximately 1636. (Europeans often referred to the native inhabitants simply by the Lenape language place name for the larger area: "Canarsie", in this case)

It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1967.citation|title=PDFlink| [http://pdfhost.focus.nps.gov/docs/NHLS/Text/67000013.pdf National Register of Historic Places Inventory-Nomination: Wyckoff House] |317 KB|author=Patricia Heintzelman|date=1975-10-11|publisher=National Park Service and PDFlink| [http://pdfhost.focus.nps.gov/docs/NHLS/Photos/67000013.pdf "Accompanying six photos, exterior, from 1967"] |2.55 MB]

It is owned by New York City but is operated by a nonprofit.
