Leo Schofield AM (born Brewarrina, New South Wales, Australia, 6 May 1935) is an Australian restaurant critic, advertising professional and arts festival director.

Educated at Christian Brothers' High School, Lewisham, [ [http://static.namesdatabase.com/schools/AUNS/Lewisham/ChristianBrothersSchool.html School Name Database] ] then in 1949, his first job, as a 14 year old, was in the curtain department of Grace Brothers. He entered journalism in the 1970s at the Sunday Australian, which folded into the Sunday Telegraph. He also contributed to numerous other publications including The Australian, Vogue, Gourmet Traveller and The Sydney Morning Herald for two decades.

In 1993 he was appointed Artistic Director of the Melbourne International Festival of the Arts, holding this post till 1996.
