W. G. Godfrey

William G. Godfrey (born 1941) is a Canadian historian that specializes in the history of the Maritime Provinces. He received his BA and MA degrees from the University of Waterloo and his Ph.D. from Queen's University. Until recently he was department chair at Canada's most prestigious undergraduate institution, Mount Allison University. In 2007 Dr. Godfrey was granted the title of Professor Emeritus at Mount Allison University. Godfrey is now retired.
