The Bibliographical Center for Research, commonly known as BCR, is a "nonprofit, multistate library cooperative."Cite web|url=http://www.bcr.org/about/index.html|title=What is BCR?|accessdate=2007-07-19] It was founded in 1935 and now includes "more than 8,000 member libraries in 42 states, Canada and Guam."Cite web|url=http://www.bcr.org/about/index.html|title=What is BCR?|accessdate=2007-07-19] BCR publishes an annual report every January and a newsletter, "Action for Libraries", quarterly.Cite web|url=http://www.bcr.org/publications/|title=Publications|accessdate=2007-07-19]
