Lycée Albert Sarraut

Lycée Albert Sarraut

The Lycée Albert Sarraut was a French high school in Hanoi, Vietnam during the French colonial period. It was one of 69 high schools founded by the French in their colonies worldwide, named for French Albert Sarraut. The school offered high standard academic programs for students between the ages of 11 and 18. The explicit purpose of this program was to create foreigners who thought in French and like Frenchmen. Even behind the Iron Curtain—in Bulgaria, Poland and North Vietnam — French teachers are vigorously shaping minds to the French way of thought.
