"Dance Floor Anthem (I Don't Want to Be in Love)", known as "Dance Floor Anthem" on the album, is a song by Good Charlotte on their fourth album, Good Morning Revival (2007). It is the second single from Good Morning Revival in North America and Australia. On the band's episodes of GCTV, in which the band uploads to their website a video containing behind the scenes footage from in the recording studio, photo shoots etc., different songs from Good Morning Revival are featured playing in the background. On March 15, 2007, the fourth episode was released on Good Charlotte's website. "Dance Floor Anthem" was featured in the video.

"Dance Floor Anthem" is the third 'anthem' that Good Charlotte has recorded. The first was "East Coast Anthem" from their debut album, Good Charlotte, and the second was "The Anthem" from The Young and the Hopeless.

On the June 5, 2007, episode of TRL, Joel Madden said the song was about the experience of his previous relationship.

This song was also featured in the soundtrack to the Nickelodeon series, iCarly.

Music video

The video begins in a shot of a beating heart on a TV monitor, and the shot becomes a small montage of the band in a party, and also in a white and orange corridor playing their instruments. This scene alternates with shots of Joel and a woman in an elevator. When the chorus comes, the band appears in individual shots in the party. This turns into the band in the corridor again, and then into Joel's elevator buddy raging at him. The party scene, the corridor scene, a new scene of three nurses dancing in a vacant corridor, a new elevator scene and the TV heart breaking apart play throughout the chorus, and then the video turns into individual shots of the band playing in the elevator. These scenes alternate until the end.

Charts

On July 8, the single became the band's most successful song in Australia, debuting at number two in the ARIA Charts. It is the second highest peaking song of their career on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, where it has reached #25. The song has made it onto more Billboard charts than any other Good Charlotte single landing on 11 different charts. The song made it onto the 2007 Billboard "Year End Pop 100 Airplay" chart at #99.
