Authorized Service Provider

An Authorized Service Provider (ASP) is a person or company that has been cleared to work on a product that is still under warranty by another company without voiding the warranty. In order to become an ASP, they would have had to complete a certification test administered by the company of the product that they would be servicing, ie. Hewlett-Packard, Apple, IBM, Microsoft etc.
