Leila Djansi is a Ghanaian filmmaker NOT A HOLLYWOOD FILMMAKER who started her film career in the Ghana Film Industry. She doesn't have any major film credit. No one knows any of the below listed films. Her only film shown under imd data base are pre-production. Please don't get confused. I have check her and she is not affilliate with any major studio hollywood. As her bio shows no US production company has work with her before. Turning Point is not a Hollywood film company but her own indie film company. Which is very new with no experience whar so ever.President of the Ghana Library Board Readers club for 3 years running, her sojourn in the industry began when she came second runner up in a regional beauty pageant in 1998. She worked closely with Stacy Amoateng of TV3 "Music Music" fame where they produced mainstream entertainment shows including The Playback Show and Teen Talent.A screenplay, Babina, for Producer Akwetey Kanyi resulted in her first screen credit. She begun her film education at the National Film and Television School and continued to Manifold College. She left Ghana for the United States to continue her Film and Television Degree at Savannah College of Art and Design. She has remained in the United States since her departure in the late 90s.

Leila worked as a writer/Producer for Safo and Safo Entertainment where she wrote and produced works like:

* "Daughters of Eve"
* "Legacy of Love"Her Career begun with Movie Africa where she was a writer/Producer. Her work was different from the storylines adapted by most film makers at the time. This resulted in her working with the Gama Film Company where she wrote and produced legacy of love.Her first production and second screenplay, "together forever" [http://www.tropentheater.nl] launched the late Ghanaian screen goddess Suzzy Williams to stardom. In the United States, she established Turning Point Pictures [http://www.turningpointpics.com] , an independent production company geared towards social issue films.The company is responsible for films like "Grass between My lips, Toads for Dinner", "Red Soil" [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1018773/] and "Tulips" [http://www.turningpointpics.com/tulips.html] , which surrounds the issue of women enslavement also known as Trokosi.
