The town celebrates the "Fouke Monster" with a sculpture and other depictions, and a documentary-style drama about the creature, "The Legend of Boggy Creek", was released in 1972. Several other movies, one starring Dawn Wells, were released in the 1970s that depicted the "Fouke Monster". Area law enforcement does NOT want anyone hunting the creature, since someone who is playing a joke could be shot.
