Finnish Vietnamese Friendship Association

"Finnish Vietnamese Friendship Association" (FVFA) - non-profit organization promoting all kind assistance to Vietnam and cooperative ties between Finland and Vietnam. Established in 1971 and based in Finland.

The Association is funded by its individual members, private donations and subsidised by Finnish Foreign Ministry. Its activities include the "Cooperation with women in Vietnam" programme (1996-2003), in 7 communes of Hoa Binh province, "Savings and credit for Thai women" in 4 communes of Son La province supporting traditional handicraft/weaving. FVFA declares its intention to promote grassroots level community development and income generation activities for the poor women and children in rural areas.
