The hepatorenal ligament is the fold or pouch of peritoneum that extends from the lower posterior surface of the liver to the anterior surface of the right kidney and forms the right margin of the epiploic foramen.

It is sometimes considered a synonym for the coronary ligament [ [http://www.infoplex.northwestern.edu/academic/basicscience/anatomy/labs/07_abdc.html Anatomy Lab #7 ] ] , and sometimes considered a component of it. [SUNYAnatomyLabs|38|10|02|04 - "Ligaments of the Liver"]
