Alan Brooke, 3rd Viscount Alanbrooke

Captain Alan Victor Harold Brooke, 3rd Viscount Alanbrooke, RA (born 24 November 1932) succeeded to the viscountcy in 1972 on the death of his half-brother.

Educated at Harrow & Bristol University [BEd Hons 1976] - qualified teacher. Served British Army 1952-1972 Captain RA (Ret'd).

In his recreations in Debrett's he lists "enjoying post-Lloyd's poverty, rearranging the wreckage for remaining family."

He lives in Hartley Wintney, Hampshire where his father the 1st Viscount Alanbrooke is buried. There are, as of 2007, no heirs to the title, in which case it shall die with him.
