Saint martyr Hermogenes, Bishop of Tobolsk and Siberia ( _ru. священномученик Гермоген, епископ Тобольский и Сибирский, born Georgiy Yefremovich Dolganyov (Георгий Ефремович Долганёв)) was a prominent Russian Orthodox religious figure. Influenced by Nicanor, Bishop of Kherson, he chose the Orthodox ministry after finishing the Novorossiysk University. Following his education in Saint Petersburg Theological Seminary in 1892, Dolganyov accepted the name Hermogenes. In 1903 he became the Bishop of Saratov and Tsaritsyno. Hermogenes founded the Annunciation Convent and Saint Trinity Monastery in Khvalynsk, Volsk Town Church of Annunciation and several other institutions.ru iconcite web | last = | first = | authorlink = | coauthors = | title =Гермоген, епископ Тобольский священномученик | work = | publisher = | date = | url = http://www.patriarchia.ru/db/text/38479.html| format =| doi = | accessdate = 2007-06-12] In the end of 1911 Hermogenes has came into conflict with the Holy Synod, opposing the introduction of funeral service for adherents of another faiths and the order of female deacons.

In April, 1918 Hermogenes was arrested by Bolsheviks and was killed in the same year. Following the decree of March 31, 1999 he was canonized.
