Redbornestoke , county ofBedford . It is a few miles north ofAmpthill . Mary Sidney ,Sir Philip Sidney 's sister, had the house built circa 1615-21. After Lady Pembroke's death, the Bruce family acquired the house in 1624 and lived in it until 1696.The manor was sold to the
