Geulat Israel

Geulat Israel

Geulat Israel ( _he. גאולת ישראל, "Salvation of Israel") was a short-lived ultra-orthodox political party in Israel in the early 1990s.

Background

The party was initially a Knesset faction during the 12th Knesset when Eliezer Mizrahi broke away from Agudat Israel. Despite leaving the party, Mizrahi remained Deputy Minister of Health.

The faction became a full political party in order to contest the 1992 elections. However, it failed to cross the electoral threshold of 1.5%, and subsequently disappeared
