- Armed Forces (sports society)
The Armed Forces sports society ( _ru. Вооруженные Силы (ВС)) was one of the largest sports societies in the
USSR . In the Soviet era allCSKA and SKA teams that resided in the Soviet Union belonged to the Armed Forces sports society. There was one SKA club in each Military district andnaval fleet of theUSSR , and a central club - CSKA.Great Soviet Encyclopedia , 3rd edition, entry on "СССР.
